SouthWare's Excellence Series is a series of modular accounting software that gives its users "real-time" access and control over all areas of a company's accounting needs including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, order entry, general ledger, inventory, reporting, payroll, and many others. MAI Computing, Inc. has successfully integrated it at over 35 companies and at thousands of companies by SouthWare dealers located around the country since 1984.

SouthWare's niche in the accounting market comes from its ability to be used in a wide variety of business types like manufacturing, distributing, and service. It operates on an impressive amount of platforms that include UNIX, DOS, NetWare, NT, and combinations of operating systems. These features make SouthWare's portability truly unique.

  Leased Lines are rented lines from MAI Computing Inc.'s closest Point of Presence (POP) to a customer's location. The Leased Line connects to hardware in the customer's location and connects to an individual PC or to a local area network.

  There are two factors for this service. The first is the cost of the line from MAI Computing Inc.'s POP to the customer's location from the local phone company. The second is the price of bandwidth from MAI Computing Inc.

• Second and Third Shift Coverage

  Downtime during regular business hours can be inconvenient as well as costly. All aspects of MAI Computing, Inc.On-Site programs can be performed outside of normal business hours.

• Time and Material Program

  For systems outside the scope of the MAI Computing, Inc. On-Site program we offer a Time and Material Program for MAI Computing, Inc. systems and/or your existing system.

• Field Upgrades

  Sometimes due to increased system requirements it may become necessary to upgrade your existing system. An upgrade not only saves the expense of purchasing a new system, but also gives you the increased performance that your requirements dictate. Our ability to provide this service at your site also saves you valuable time.

• P.M. Procedure

  Each P.M. will include the following:

  1. Remove cover and vacuum system board and keyboard
  2. Re-seat all boards and components
  3. Clean floppy drives and tape units
  4. Run system diagnostics on the following:
     1. System Board

  The SouthWare Maintenance Agreement is a multifaceted plan that guarantees comprehensive support and upgrades to your SouthWare modules. The plan currently spreads the cost of the upgrade to the current REV over a 2-year period and provides for unlimited telephone and remote support on your installed modules.
